HOW WE OPERATE
Miss Takes Film Club operates on a 100% volunteer basis, including all Board Members, Executive Officers, and general members. Every member contributes their time, skills, and resources to support the collaborative production of content, including the Miss Takes Web Series and short films for film festival submissions.
We expect all members to maintain professionalism in every aspect of the club—whether on set, during events, across social media interactions, or in meetings. The values of encouragement, support, and mutual respect are central to our mission.
Additionally, we prioritize the safety of our members—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and are committed to maintaining a respectful and positive environment for all.
WHAT WE DO
At Miss Takes Film Club, we guide our members through every step of the filmmaking process—from script to screen. We’re all about creating hands-on opportunities to get on set and explore the ins and outs of every role in production. Our journey together unfolds in real-time, with constant communication through our Discord channels, where the brainstorming begins in the writer's room and continues all the way to the final product distribution. It’s all about collaboration, skill-building, and making movie magic happen!
Our Processes
Our pre-production process is meticulously organized to ensure a smooth and efficient production. This includes strategic planning, script workshopping, scheduling, and coordinating cast and crew availability.
During the film production process, we bring the script to life by capturing every scene with precision and creativity. We guide our members through their roles, fostering collaboration and ensuring they step outside their comfort zones to deliver their best work. It's all about pushing boundaries, elevating performances, and creating something truly cinematic.
In post-production, we meticulously edit the short film, refining each frame to perfection. This includes adding sound design, selecting the right music, and applying color grading to enhance the visual storytelling. Every detail is carefully crafted to elevate the final product and ensure it resonates with audiences.
For distribution, we showcase our series across key video platforms like YouTube and on our website, MISS TAKES TV ensuring maximum visibility and reach. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to craft a professional pitch deck for those looking to submit their work to film festivals, helping to expand the project's audience and recognition.
